Parent Teacher Communication

As a teacher I feel that having a good communication with your studentsparents/guardians is really important not only for the students learning but also for the parents. I feel that a way that I will communicate with my student’s parents is by sending bulletins with my students every month inviting the parents to come in to the classroom to see how the child is doing. Also the bulletin is going to let the parents know the different activities their child is doing as well as what homework need to be done by what day or when test or quizzes are going to be given. Another way that I can communicate with my student’s parents is by giving monthly phone class to the parents and letting them know how the child is doing as well as asking if they have any concerns. My last way of communication is my e-mail, I know that is not the best way but many parents know a days are more comfortable with sending e-mail rather than calling. I will also send e-mails if I have any questions or just to let the parent know how their child is going. Overall I feel that as a teacher, the parents and I have to have a great team work to help their child and my students the most. Building a relationship between the parents and I is fundamental for the students learning.
If you have any questions about your child's learning feel free to contact me to my classroom by calling the school, my extension is 3420 or to my e-mail: Ssilva20@Othello.edu.
My hours are from 7am to 3 pm in the classroom. Feel free to speak to me before or after school I am also available. If I do not answer a phone call please leave a message I will return the call as soon as possible.
